I 3-day Industrialist Career Fair for Emirati talent launches in Abu Dhabi
The event, held with the participation of HE Sara Al Amiri and HE Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, hosts more than 72 organizations showcasing 500+ jobs

The inaugural Industrialist Career Fair, an exhibition showcasing job opportunities in the industrial and advanced technology sectors, launched today at the Abu Dhabi Energy Center. The event is held with the participation of His Excellency Dr. Sultan bin Ahmed Al Jaber, UAE Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology, Her Excellency Sarah Al Amiri, Minister of State for Public Education and Advanced Technology, His Excellency Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, UAE Minister of State for Foreign Trade and His Excellency Omar Al Suwaidi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology (MoIAT).
The Industrialist Career Fair is a MoIAT-led initiative held in collaboration with the Ministry of Human Resources & Emiratization (MoHRE), the Emirati Talent Competitiveness Council (Nafis), the Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development (ADDED), and ADNOC Group. The exhibition takes place from 24-26 October between 9am-4pm.
An empowering platform
His Excellency Al Suwaidi said: “The Industrialist Career Fair aligns with the objectives of the National Strategy for Industry and Advanced Technology to increase the sector’s contribution to GDP. The exhibition is an empowering platform for Emirati talent under the National In-Country Value (ICV) Program, one of the ‘Projects of the 50’. The event is the first-of-its-kind to bring together ICV-certified industrial companies and jobseekers under one roof, providing jobs and train-to-hire opportunities for local talent.”
He praised the collaboration between strategic partners and industrial companies, as well as their enthusiasm in offering hundreds of diverse job and training opportunities in science and engineering, information technology, supply chains, business and financial management, human resources, and accounting. This is in addition to specialized training programs in industrial engineering, health and safety, production, maintenance, metallurgy, control, quality, and industrial automation.
HE Al Suwaidi added: “Gathering more than 73 industrial companies to engage with Emirati jobseekers contributes to, and enhances, collaboration among government entities, particularly our partners at the Ministry of Human Resources & Emiratization, Nafis, ADDED, and ADNOC. This is in addition to collaborating with several outstanding UAE training centers, including the Centre of Excellence for Applied Research & Training (CERT) and Abu Dhabi Vocational Education and Training Institute (ADVETI).”
Immediate hiring opportunities
On its first day, the exhibition saw of more than 500 immediate hiring opportunities for Emiratis offered by more than 73 industrial and advanced technology companies. Moreover, the fair showcased immediate opportunities at leading training institutes such as CERT and ADVETI.
Part of The Industrialist Program, the exhibition aims to strengthen relationships between government institutions and the private sector in the UAE, encouraging their participation in the National ICV Program to benefit from incentives and enablers. The event aligns with initiatives aimed at upskilling the Emirati workforce in the industrial sector.
Held under MoIAT’s National ICV Program, the exhibition aims to create valuable employment opportunities for Emirati talent in the private sector. It aligns with the Make it in the Emirates initiative to support the national economy. Furthermore, the event contributes to generating more high-skilled jobs in the industrial sector and provides factories with the opportunity to boost Emiratization.
The ministry launched The Industrialist Program in March 2023, as part of its efforts to support the growth and development of the national industrial sector by securing job opportunities for local talent. The program also helps industrial companies leverage incentives and enablers offered by the National ICV Program.
The Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology (MoIAT) was established in July 2020 to boost the industrial sector's contribution to the UAE's GDP and drive sustainable industrial development. The ministry was formed by combining the Office of the Minister of State for Advanced Technology, the Emirates Authority for Standardization and Metrology (ESMA), and the industrial department of the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure. MoIAT is responsible for formulating policies, laws, and programs that attract foreign direct investment, enhance national added value, support entrepreneurship, create jobs, attract talents, upskill national cadres, promote exports and raise the competitiveness of products manufactured in the UAE. To achieve these objectives, MoIAT has created an advanced national quality infrastructure system. MoIAT leverages its expertise, capabilities, and resources to strengthen the national industrial ecosystem by facilitating the establishment of industrial zones, promoting the adoption of advanced technologies and the integration of Fourth Industrial Revolution solutions and enabling the growth of priority sectors as well as industries of the future. The ministry’s work contributes to national efforts to build a diversified, knowledge-based economy and achieve industrial self-sufficiency. The ministry is a key driver of the UAE’s Net Zero by 2050 strategic initiative and is playing an important role in the country’s COP28 agenda.
