Missoni Spring-Summer 2024 collection takes its inspiration from a book about Ottavio Missoni’s intricate patchworks of patterns Kaleidoscope of Dreams. Ultimately, it's about creating a form of weightless "put-together" layering where even colours seem to float as fluid rainbow. This is what the entire show suggests, reflected in the giant spheres created by artist Shawn Kolodny that distort proportions and accentuate colors while also softening them at the same time.

Show notes state, "This playful collection arises from a cheerful question: How to enjoy reality?" - good question, but what is reality today. We have reality and the concept of Virtual reality converging more and more with digital platforms and gadgets. Missoni attempts to answer this by exploring the joys of matter, shape, and color.
In order to emphasize attention to lightness, Shawn Kolodny's enormous inflatable silver spheres were suspended from the ceiling of the Missoni exhibition site. Filippo Grazioli celebrates the ideas of the brand’s founder and the desire to capture the joy that comes from giving the imagination the freedom to explore. Missoni silhouettes and iconic, almost 3D-like paterns leave the door open to “new dimensions.”
Light hue tones and many white appearances are included in several of Grazioli's designs. He subdued the brilliant hues the brand is renowned for or showcases under a translucent fabric shade.
The new collection launches its very own kaleidoscope of colour, putting pattern and lightness at the center of everything while narrating a boundless desire for enjoyable living. The new women’s collection showcased during the Milan Women’s Fashion Week takes us on on an imaginative journey that celebrates beauty of everyday dressing in all its forms. But at Missoni everything is rarefied and fluid, from select materials to talented workmanship, from color nuances to highlighted accessories, and it creates a truly joyful collection that traces, outlines,and underlines the elegance of lightness.
The choice of materials is consistent with the brand's DNA and history. The material selection for Spring-Summer 2024 is airy and light, which the renowned hand craftsmanship of Italian artisans enriches with geometric motifs, embroidered details like fringes.
White with its infinite shades of light, delicate pastel nuances, and the precise selection of strong colors such as hibiscus or sunset orange tones, and azur blue mixed with royal purple define the chromatic scale of this collection that loves to play with decorative elements.
Clothes like pieces of inlay, of a puzzle with an open ending: tailored blazers, trousers and Bermuda shorts; blouses; jumpsuits, and form-fitting dresses. The spring-summer 2024 look is adorned with oversize silver earrings that seem to reflect Kolodny's art installations, high heels, and statement sunglasses over almost make-up free beauty look.
