Spring Summer 2024 by Calcaterra

“HOMINIS ESSENTIA CARO SANGUINIS ANIMA EST” is the headline of the Spring Summer 2024 show by Calcaterra, aptly presented in institution dedicated to philosophical thought-Fondazione G. Brodolini, which was established in 1971 to build on the work of the labour minister Giacomo Brodolini, who championed the Workers' Statute-and this latin saying at the same time represents the essence of the brand according to its designer and founder.

Simplicity in form and a sophisticated and light interpretation of color come together, skillfully combined by the designer who respectfully reinterprets and reworks archive designs while preserving their purity, quality, and timeless allure.

The palette is powdery: botanical greens from hydrangea to fern, crystalline and milky shades of white,

delicious hues of dark chocolate, nutmeg, and black pepper, and the unusual nuance of strelitzia.

A Berber mood emerges through a choreography of subtle and strong accents.

The material and the volume are the stylistic feature of the entire collection: hand embroidery done with

natural river pearls, washed feathers, transparencies and jacquards on which the very concept of the jacket is exaggerated to the extreme, which becomes an object of desire.

A minimalist attitude increasingly focuses on the essential and — borrowing codes of the ‘80s and ‘90s — stylistically reiterates a “less is more” approach, made up of dramatically large squared shoulders, simple necklines, and exaggeratedly short jackets almost to the limit of wearability.

Simplicity speaks the language of childhood:

“I wanted to design this collection with the eyes of when I first fell in love with fashion. With my hands and pencil, I traced a new linearity and stylistic imprint, created as if from a child’s quick sketch.” - Daniele Calcaterra, Founder and Creative Director of the brand.

Pack nicotine alternatives

Smoking cessation isn’t a one-and-done thing; being out with friends—especially smokers—might exacerbate your cravings. Instead of giving in and asking for a smoke, tobacco-free alternatives can help tamp down those urges. Nicotine pouches are a great product for a night out. Most nicotine pouches come in cans, which allow users to experience nicotine satisfaction on the go. Another great option is nicotine patches, which have been around for decades as a quitting aid. Brands like Habitrol nicotine patches come with two or three-step programs over eight or twelve weeks, gradually lowering the nicotine dose after some time. all images ©
