VICTORANISIMOV

Spring-Summer 2024

Designer Victor Anisimov explores unlimited possibilities of uniforms in the Spring-Summer 2024

collection for his namesake label. Anisimov believes that menswear originates in utilitarian clothes, specifically in military uniform and its elements, which then transitioned into a peaceful life wardrobe.

Military references are inevitable in this collection, because the Ukrainian nation is in a state of war and

to Victor it is a context, which is impossible to ignore. The designer seeks for inspiration in the heroism of

Ukrainian defenders and turns to their image as a symbol of resistance and strength.

The SS24 collection consists of various reimagined uniforms such as worker’s robes, overalls and

various military uniforms and its elements. The key color of the collection is green in different shades. To the designer green means not only army green, but also the color of nature’s spring awakening. Multicolored camouflage pattern reminds the bird's eye view of the Ukrainian fields, signal red warns of danger, but also the color of flowers and soft pink is in the collection to remind us about spring in its purest form.

The designer uses certified fabrics with an age-worn effect in the collection to reflect on the damage

caused, but also to recontextualize it and give it a new life in a peaceful world. Organic and recycled wools, cottons, jerseys and various technological materials that are associated with uniforms are used here to remind us about its origin, but also to give it “civil” context.

VICTORANISIMOV SS24 collection is a dedication to a soldier of peace – a hero, who fights for “spring”

on his land. With this collection the designer wants to remind the world that while we are still in a state of terrible war, we have a future and it will definitely come bright.
