  • Bugatti W16 Mistral in Singapore

Bugatti W16 Mistral lands in Singapore Island, bordering the Indian Ocean and South China Sea, where nature meets technology. All 99 examples of the W16 Mistral were sold before it was formally revealed, and customizations get underway this year, with deliveries due in 2024. In a city of towering buildings, architectural masterpieces and timeless heritage, the W16 Mistral1 blends in seamlessly. All images Bugatti.com Just as Singapore celebrates its heritage within a relentlessly modernized environment – the Bugatti design team channeled inspiration from the timeless elegance of the 1934 Type 57 Roadster Grand Raid in their design of the W16 Mistral. Known as ‘Garden City’, Singapore epitomizes the spirit of latitude, forming a compelling union with the total freedom and sense of adventure that comes from being behind the wheel of Bugatti’s ultimate roadster. Whilst on the island, the W16 Mistral stopped at iconic locations and revered sites, aptly connecting the hyper sports car with its cherished surroundings. The iconic Gardens by the Bay, the huge, world renowned showpiece of horticultural excellence at the Marina Bay Waterfront has become an essential part of the Singapore experience, with the 250-acre nature park of biodiversity. The bustling Central Business District – a financial hub of Asia – consists of imposing skyscrapers that sit harmoniously side-by-side with Singapore’s calming natural world backdrop. Old meets news, east merges into west; the Buddha Tooth Relic Temple and the Victoria Concert Hall beautifully contrasting some of the diversity that makes Singapore a special and unique island. The W16 Mistral, so diverse in character and ability, fits in seamlessly here. Kostas Psarris, Regional Director, Middle East & Asia at Bugatti, said: “The world has looked on in admiration as Singapore has developed such a strong economy and become a truly enviable place to live, and it is no surprise it is now home to so many ultra-high net worth individuals. We know from our recently opened showroom that there is massive interest in Bugatti in Southeast Asia, so it is a genuine privilege to be able to bring the W16 Mistral here. As with Singapore itself, this incredible car demonstrates there is no limit to what can be achieved when there is an unquenchable desire to succeed.” The W16 Mistral’s final stop in the city was for a private customer event in the Bugatti Singapore Showroom. Opened in 2021 as part of a partnership with Wearnes, a leading luxury automotive retailer established in 1906, the beautifully immersive showroom was the ideal showcase venue for the W16 Mistral, with many guests in awe of the roadster’s timeless and elegant design.

  • TEFAF Maastricht 2023: Antonacci Lapicirella Fine Art (Rome)

With TEFAF Maastricht just around the corner, Antonacci Lapicirella Fine Art shares its highlights for the 2023 edition. Paul Louis Joseph BERTHON, Les Musiciennes dans un parc (Musicians in a park), 1906. Courtesy of www.alfineart.com As every year, Antonacci Lapicirella Fine Art is showcasing carefully selected works of some of the greatest European painters and sculptors of the 19th and 20th century. Antonacci Lapicirella Fine Art (Rome) has a tradition for bringing together masterpieces of museum quality and we are recognized by both private and institutional collectors. One of our highlights includes a panel of Avvenimento d’arte e di cultura (1906 – 23), part of a frieze by Giulio Aristide SARTORIO. This is the third and largest of three parts of the gallery’s important rediscovery of which two panels were showcased at TEFAF Maastricht 2022 and that were recently acquired by the prestigious Musée d’Orsay in Paris. Another highlight of this year’s booth is a surprising masterpiece by Italian painter Giacomo BALLA, Le quattro Stagioni (The Four Seasons) from 1940. Known as one of Italians leading futurist painters, these four early, striking red paintings surprise with their unusual and innovative character, confirming that the artist was a tireless avant-garde exponent. Drawing on the popular imagery of magazines, comics, and television, Balla anticipated a movement that would 30 years later be known as Pop Art. Another discovery of the gallery planned for TEFAF: the only known painting on panel by Paul Louis Joseph BERTHON, the celebrated French Symbolist and lithograph artist. The rediscovery of Les Musiciennes dans un parc (Musicians in a park) is a “one-off” in the artist’s artistic production and was exhibited at the Palais-Salon in Paris in 1906. Discover also Austrian artist Ernst NEPO's "Blue Portraits", a series strongly inspired by the secessionist environment, with a particular eye on the highly radical style of Egon Schiele, leading exponent of the Expressionist movement. Visitors are welcome at booth 328 to discover more highlights and masterpieces.

  • White Turf St. Moritz 2023 – 116 Years of International Horse Racing on Snow

Valeria Walther wins Credit Suisse Skikjöring Trophy and becomes Queen of the Engadine for the first time All images swiss-image.ch/Photo Andy Mettler The third and final Race Sunday of this year’s White Turf was once again held in glorious sunshine. The highlight was the crowning of Valeria Selina Walther as the new Queen of the Engadine after winning the overall standings in the Credit Suisse Skikjöring Trophy. Valeria Walther is only the second woman in the history of this traditional discipline to achieve this. The Evangelos Pistiolis Foundation 83rd St. Moritz Grand Prix, which was also eagerly awaited, was carried home by Moderator. Due to the exceptionally warm temperatures and related safety precautions, the race was run over the shortened distance of 800 meters. Impression of the final of the skikjoering series ‘Grand Prix Credit Suisse' at the White Turf St. Moritz taking place on the frozen lake of St. Moritz, Switzerland, February 19, 2023. Valeria Selina Walther is the new Queen of the Engadine after winning the overall standings in the Credit Suisse Skikjöring Trophy In the first flat race of the day everything seemed to go according to plan. After the favorite and previous Sunday’s winner Whaze had been declared a non-runner, Identified moved up to favorite and immediately hit the front galloping into the last turn with Blazing Comet at his side. But it was here that Rene Piechulek fell. Jenny Langhard was able to avoid the incident on The Iconist and the pair went on to win the race ahead of Ventura Tormenta and Tapeten Toni. As a result, the Evangelos Pistiolis Foundation 83rd Grand Prix of St. Moritz was delayed for half an hour – the staff wanted to try to roughen up the surface in the tricky spots. But shortly before the horses were brought onto the track, the decision was made that the distance would be shortened to 800 meters. Immediately after the start, Moderator, owned by Anton and Verena Kräuliger, took the lead together with Movin Time. Towards the finish, a duel between the 11:1 outsider Moderator and Movin Time emerged, which Moderator won by a head. In the final flat race of the event, also shortened to 800 meters, Mark Hänni’s Play All Day prevailed ridden by Rene Piechulek, who confidently repelled the attacks of Saphira Dream and Fiesta. Skikjöring entirely in female hands The skikjöring race, the Grand Prix Credit Suisse, was run over the regular distance. Moonflight withstood all attacks with Valeria Schiergen on her skis. The gray, trained by Peter Schiergen and owned by Murezzan Racing Stable, relegated Atlantico to runner up. Thanks to two second places at this year’s White Turf, Valeria Selina Walther, Atlantico’s rider, was nevertheless crowned Queen of the Engadine for the first time. Third-placed Los Angeles was also ridden by a woman, Leta Joos. Fourteenth of July dethrones Kiss Forever H.C. In the Grand Prix Pontresina, the two dominating horses in the previous trotting races, Fourteenth of July and Kiss Forever H.C., met. The latter also coming in as defending champion and Stephanie Theiler immediately positioned him behind Fourteenth of July and Jean-Bernard Matthey, who had taken the lead. Although Theiler attacked in the run-in, Hedy Schlatter’s eight-year-old was always in control and took his third snow victory in as many starts. 38,000 guests over all three weekends Last but not least, White Turf 2023 was a great success in terms of spectator numbers, betting turnover and the atmosphere in the tent city. Thanks to bright weather and warm temperatures, a total of 11,000 spectators found their way onto the frozen Lake St. Moritz on today’s race day. Together with the popular Family Days held on Saturdays, 38,000 people visited this year’s White Turf – a new record!

What is the main target audience and scoop of your publication? Maglebanon’s audience is all from the elite, top-notch society from the Middle East and even Europe. The audience includes celebrities, public figures, and socialites. They all check the publication to know what is out and about, and check out the latest in refined fashion, lifestyle, business, and social news. The main target is to gather all these people that share the same interest together. Please elaborate on how Lebanon is spreading its international reach abroad from Lebanon to the world. I was able to gather a community from a 10452 KM2 country, Lebanon, including Lebanon's most prestigious high-end society. It became like a popular club gathering. So when I started to expand it to Saudi Arabia, Turkey, France, the United Kingdom, and even India, all the prestigious communities showed interest, especially that I was connecting people from all around the world with each other. How and why was Mag Lebanon founded? Founded in 2014, MagLebanon is a Beirut-based microblogging platform that reflects the lifestyle of the Middle East and the region. For example, if you are in Monaco for the F1, all of these groups will see where the best place is to spend the day and even party together. It's almost like lobbying for them to socialize, especially if you share who's there, such as an entrepreneur is spotted somewhere. Yes, even business and social people are like celebrities, and the latest trend of promoting your business is by your very own self. The international reach is present by covering all the international events and also by connecting the international community with the Middle East, I became like the hub. This sort of connection can get them an investor to expand their scope of business to the Middle East. How are you, as an entrepreneur, building an international community that shares the same lifestyle and interests? It's all about sharing an authentic real life rather than faking it, like if I was traveling somewhere, I would share the places I shop or go to, and definitely my audience shares the same interest with me, and it happens that we all know each other. It's all a small community, and you need to know what your community needs. I even introduce to my audience new shops, restaurants, and places they can check out. I believe that being "unique" is the key. And when you are authentic and deliver, this touches the audience's heart. I learned from the legendary Elie Saab, whom I consider my influence and motto, that you can represent your country whenever you are across the globe. Be known for your work. It's all about your hard work and you keep on raising your country's name high.
