Fleeting Identities YOUNG ARTISTS’ EXHIBITION at India International Centre

MASH explores the intersection of art, craft, design, and fashion in an accessible and

engaging way. Awards like the MASH Awards in 2019 and the MASH Women Artist Award

in 2022, and now, with the Young Artists’ Award, MASH aims to further the vision of Shalini

Passi which encompasses reforming an artistic space for contemporary artists across India.



Shalini Passi has been a longstanding Patron of the Kochi-Muziris Biennale and also sits on

the advisory board of Khoj Studios.is delighted to announce The Young Artists Exhibition 2022 which shall showcase the works of emerging artists in India between the ages of 20 and 35 years. The group show seeks to act as a catalyst for recognising young talent and individuality.


On display will be selected works from 10 artists shortlisted from over 400 applicants, one of whom shall be awarded with 2 Lakhs INR. This group show will be held from 19th September until 29th

September and explores the ever-changing dynamics of identity, alienation, history and

culture. Additionally, MASH shall host a critique session with Khoj Studios who have come

on board as the Knowledge Partner.


The exhibition will feature Deepak Kumar, M. Thamshangpha, Pahul Singh, Roshan Vinod

Anvekar, Sabiha Dohadwala, Sanayvi Naik, Sarban Chowdhry, Sayantan Samanta, Sibdas

Sengupta, and Tahsin Akhtar. Though evidently individual in approach, collectively, these

young artists represent a common vision of transforming the landscape of Indian

Contemporary Art and our perception of the same.



MASH founder, art collector and philanthropist, Shalini Passi adds,
“The Indian artscape is rapidly changing and ever expanding with an influx of many proficient artists every year. This is a substantially vital change which requires equal support from Patrons, art collectors, curators and mentors alike. MASH Awards 2022 is a step in the right direction to justify the same”.
