INTERNATIONALLY ACCLAIMED SEVIL DOLMACI ART GALLERY

OPENS ITS NEW SPACE IN DUBAI DESIGN DISTRICT IN DUBAI

Aiming to make a remarkable contribution to Dubai's vibrant art scene by bring cutting edge contemporary international artists to the Middle East and encouraging a cultural exchange, Sevil Dolmacı Dubai will debut its space in Dubai Design District, Dubai with the iconic, Ekrem Yalçındağ, one of the most important contemporary painters in Turkey.

Ms. Sevil Dolmaci comments, “I am proud to announce the opening of our new gallery at Dubai Design district, Dubai. Sevil Dolmacı Gallery is few of the international galleries to open in the UAE, which is a dynamic new frontier within the context of the global art world. Our inaugural exhibitions by prominent international Turkish artist, Ekrem mark the first of many more world renowned artists the gallery will be featuring in its annual program, as well as exhibiting prominent international creatives. The gallery aims to showcase a blend of the best artists from across the East to the west and beyond attuned to the art appetite and taste of art enthusiasts in the Middle East one of them being Ekrem Yalçındağ.”

In the artist’s latest series, the audience sees artworks in huge dimensions. In his paintings of 290x150 cm, for instance, Ekrem Yalçındağ combines wood printing and screen printing with his typical painting technique, which is oil painting with a miniature brush. The small forms on these paintings represent abstracted flowers and they interact with the wood and large silkscreened plant motifs.

Ten unique paintings by Marina Fedorova, each brought to life through augmented reality, beckon visitors into a realm of multi-dimensional splendor. Yousef Akbar adds an extraordinary layer with ten contemporary dresses that meticulously intertwine with Marina's captivating artworks, blurring the boundaries between the tangible and the ethereal.

This exhibition goes beyond the visual. "Ethereal Echoes" blends different realms and cultures paying homage as well to Saudi Arabia's rich heritage, drawing inspiration from the enchanting Al-Ahsa Oasis, specifically created for this exhibition, The Birth of Four Unprecedented Multidimensional Cross-cultural Creations.
