Yacht trends from Cannes Yachting Festival, Salone Nautico di Genova and Monaco Yacht Show

Baglietto, J Craft and Palomba Serafini x Amer Yachts, are three unique brands that have attended the three major September 2023 Boat Shows; Cannes Yachting Festival, Salone Nautico di Genova and Monaco Yacht Show. They spearheaded sustainability and customization in the luxury segment of yachting.

The Swedish luxury boat manufacturer J Craft took part in the European Boat Shows presenting the Torpedo "RS" BaBeBi, one of the most fully equipped to date, which comes with two Volvo Penta IPS 650s and is the first one featuring a metallic-coloured hull.

Since splashing its first luxury dayboat in 1999, J Craft has continued to build boats on Sweden’s island of Gotland. There, in the middle of the sometimes-furious Baltic Sea, J Craft capitalizes on the island’s strong marine heritage and centuries of boat-building tradition. J Craft’s team of experienced craftsmen and women devote more than 9.000 hours to building each unit, and they all undergo extensive sea trials in the challenging Nordic waters before delivery.

Artistry. Heritage. Craftmanship. Woodwork. These are the cornerstones of the exclusive J Craft brand. Built for the few, appreciated by the many, J Craft has quietly continued to produce bespoke works of art for knowledgeable yachtsmen and women. These owners understand that a Torpedo 42 is far from a mainstream production boat; it is a passion project for those meticulous owners who demand quality, finesse and performance.

Having attended both Cannes and Monaco, Baglietto presented as a world premiere the T52 yacht, the first model with hybrid propulsion. In Monaco, the latest DOM133 launched, "MyLee", was also exhibited. Baglietto T52 model was awarded as Best Layout amongst the yachts from 164' to 270' (50m to 82m) at the World Yachts Trophies during Cannes Yachting Festival.

Boat builder Baglietto specialises in the construction of new planing aluminium yachts and steel & aluminium displacement and semi-displacement mega-yachts ranging between 35 and 65 metres in length. Baglietto can currently rely on 2 production sites, in La Spezia (headquarters) and Carrara (operating site). The La Spezia headquarters extend over an area of approximately 35,000 sq. m.

Over the last few years, considerable investments were made to extensively renovate the entire production site: 3 new sheds for the construction of yachts up to 65 m in length were built in La Spezia, as well as new fully-equipped quays to berth vessels of up to 70 m. An approximately 1,200-ton travel lift - the largest in Europe - allows for the haulage and launch of up-to-65 m long yachts. The operating site in Carrara, conversely, comprises 2 areas of 5,000 sq. m each. One is used to build military crafts under the Baglietto Navy brand as well as some models of the iconic brand Betram Yachts, which joined the Baglietto Group in 2015; the second area is equipped with 4 new sheds for the construction of the DOM line and yachts up to 46 m long.

Pack nicotine alternatives

Smoking cessation isn’t a one-and-done thing; being out with friends—especially smokers—might exacerbate your cravings. Instead of giving in and asking for a smoke, tobacco-free alternatives can help tamp down those urges. Nicotine pouches are a great product for a night out. Most nicotine pouches come in cans, which allow users to experience nicotine satisfaction on the go. Another great option is nicotine patches, which have been around for decades as a quitting aid. Brands like Habitrol nicotine patches come with two or three-step programs over eight or twelve weeks, gradually lowering the nicotine dose after some time. all images ©
