  • New Talents at Copenhagen Fashion Week

ALPHA 2023 presented 10 outstanding collections, created by emerging designers from the Nordics: Desirée Bjurinder Fritzon, Elma Leminen, Hanna Hanhela, Hedvig Ljungström, Julie Lundgaard Christophersen, Kaapo Sinervo, Marie-Louise Guldbæk Andersen, Samuel Westerberg, Sasha Heinsaar and Tuuli-Tytti Koivula. The show brought together an enthralling line-up of innovative fashion that balanced the experimental and the functional. With a clear focus on hand-crafted details and voluminous shapes, as well as technical and tailored silhouettes, the designers cemented that Nordic fashion is diverse and deeply invested in responsible practices. “The designers invite us to think, reflect and dream. Their compelling, beautiful, odd, responsible and thought-provoking work draws up an exciting future of Nordic fashion,” said director Ane Lynge-Jorlén at the award ceremony after the show. Tuuli-Tytti Koivula and Sasha Heinsaar were selected to be featured in the forthcoming exhibition ‘Nordic Fashion Now: Knitwear and Print’ at the Röhsska Museum of Design and Craft in Sweden. Tuuli-Tytti Koivula mixes inspiration from tight ski-racing gear and the Bregenzerwald traditional costume, which is a living tradition and part of UNESCO’s cultural heritage. Exaggerated and voluminous shapes are paired with clashing and contrasting material and printed surfaces and sustainable wadding. Sasha Heinsaar uses deadstock, second-hand and discarded material in a collection that is based on Slavic folk tales that Heinsaar read as a child in Estonia. Knitting, crocheting, weaving and patchwork techniques are innovated by integrating folktale characters in wearable forms, all laboriously handmade. As part of a new partnership with MM6 Margiela, Kaapo Sinvero was selected by the label’s the creative team, helmed by Heikki Salonen, for a paid internship at the Paris studio. The creative team at MM6 Margiela “were impressed by Kaapo’s custom developed fabrics applied to exaggerated silhouettes, utilising an unconventional approach to texture and colour. Kaapo’s thought-provoking research mixes cultural references with an eye for fabrication and contemporary functionality and we are excited to provide the opportunity to work together in the MM6 team.” This year ALPHA is introducing a new prize: A 1 Granary mentorship prize, which involves one year of mentoring by founder Olya Kuryshchuk. “The future of fashion needs designers who are restlessly rethinking the way we make and consume fashion. Sustainability, originality, innovation, and industry awareness are all values that 1 Granary stands for and traits that as a platform want to award. Sasha's work is fearless, experimental and most importantly modern. As a designer who reflects on the current sociopolitical landscape, with a strong technical skillset and aesthetic eye, Sasha deserves to be supported and mentored in order to further explore sustainable fashion-making and craftsmanship,” says Olya Kuryshchuk As a continuation of a partnership with Browns Fashion, buying director Ida Petersson selected Marie-Louise Guldbæk Andersen to develop a sustainable collection for the retailer in collaboration with The Bear Scouts. Marie-Louise receives a mentorship that is all-encompassing, through pre-payment, educating, consulting, showcasing and selling the collection on an international scale. “Marie-Louise’s design challenges the concept of masculinity adding to a very important debate that is at the forefront of men’s fashion today and a subject very close to Browns’ heart. Upfront the craftsmanship and attention to detail is exceptional and I fell in love with her approach to slow fashion, taking time to do something thoroughly and properly is rare today and should be treasured. I’m very excited to explore Marie-Louise’s world further and look forward to introducing her to Browns customers,” says Ida Petersson. The ALPHA Award was presented to Tuuli-Tytti Koivula. She received a cash prize of 50.000 DKK, alongside a ceramic vessel by Karl Monies and a study trip to UEDA College of Fashion in Osaka in Japan. “Tuuli-Tytti impressed us with her ability to bridge fantasy and function, reality and beautiful storytelling. Every detail is thought through. Her range as a designer across silhouette, material and categories is exceptional. Tulli-Tytti shows maturity beyond exception. The collection is coherent and eloquently shows development of ideas into finished pieces,” Director Ane Lynge-Jorlén said after the show. The finalists were assessed by the jury that includes Olya Kuryshchuk (Founder and Creative Director, 1 Granary), Mariasole Pastori (Executive Director at Diorama and Talent Acquisition Consultant), Ida Petersson (Buying Director, Browns Fashion), Achilles Ion Gabriel (Creative Director, Camper), Anders Sølvsten Thomsen (Stylist and Creative Consultant) and Ane Lynge-Jorlén (Director, ALPHA) ALPHA is supported by The Nordic Culture Fund, The Danish Arts Foundation, Beckett-Fonden, MFK Almene Fond, CIFF, Copenhagen Fashion Week and Eyes on Talents. • Maurice Lacroix AIKON #tide Mahindra

Maurice Lacroix continues to work closely with Mahindra Racing in 2023. Building on their common values, in particular their shared desire to make the world a little greener, the two firms are pleased to unveil the new AIKON #tide Mahindra. Dressed in the race team’s colours and made from ocean-bound upcycled plastic, this urban watch plays its part in making the world a little better for everyone. In 2020, Maurice Lacroix was named the Official Timekeeper of Mahindra Racing, a founding team in the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship. It’s a dynamic sport, continuously changing as technology evolves. Today, the all-electric single seater cars race at speeds touching 320 km/h and are capable of accelerating from 0-100 km/h in sub 3 seconds. While Maurice Lacroix admires Mahindra Racing for its success on the track, manifest with 23 podiums and 5 wins to date, it also applauds the team’s environmental stance. Indeed, the race team actively promotes EV technology as a means of making the skies cleaner and addressing the impact of climate change. Mahindra Racing’s values resonate with Maurice Lacroix and this was the primary reason that led to both firms forging a long-term partnership. Last year, the Swiss watch brand unveiled its inaugural AIKON #tide model, made from ocean-bound upcycled plastic. It takes 17 plastic bottles to make one AIKON #tide and its user-friendly packaging, which means 17 fewer bottles polluting the ocean. The AIKON #tide shares the same attributes as other members of the AIKON family, namely Swiss quality, precision timekeeping, urban styling and high perceived value. By recovering plastic bottles from the ocean, Maurice Lacroix has made the world a little cleaner and a little better for everyone. Success is a journey, not a destination. Now, the two environmentally-aware firms have joined forces, culminating in the release of a new watch, the AIKON #tide Mahindra, dressed in the race team’s colours and featuring a dial adorned with the team logo. Perpetuating the #tide story, this new model is again made from ocean-bound upcycled plastic. It features a black dial with a matching 40mm case. The bezel is executed in red and the black rubber strap sports Maurice Lacroix’s ‘M’ logo, also in a vibrant shade of red. In addition, the watch is supplied with a second strap, this time in red rubber with black accents. Equipped with the Maison’s Easy Strap Exchange system, it is simple to switch one strap for another without the need for tools. Stéphane Waser, Managing Director of Maurice Lacroix, remarks, “The AIKON #tide Mahindra is a further demonstration of our shared commitment to the environment. Like Mahindra Racing, we tour the globe, operating in urban settings. Both brands strive for success, whether that’s competing on race tracks in various cities or making urban watches for competitive souls, but most important of all, we both believe in innovating for a brighter, greener future.” Fred Bertrand, CEO of Mahindra Racing said of the partnership: “We are delighted to be partnered with Maurice Lacroix once again on the development of their new AIKON #tide watch. They have developed the watch with recycled materials with the aim of really targeting a younger audience. We love working with brands that share our same values and goals of working towards a more sustainable future, so I’m pleased to welcome Maurice Lacroix on board for Season 9. I can’t wait to wear the watch with pride in 2023.” Wherever you choose to be, show your colours, wear the AIKON #tide Mahindra and be part of this remarkable success story. Mahindra racing Mahindra Racing is a founding team – and the only Indian team – to compete in the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship, the world’s first all-electric street racing series. Mahindra Racing has an impressive stats sheet and is a multi-race winning outfit after scoring its breakthrough victory at the Berlin E-Prix in 2017. The squad is committed not only to pushing the limits of technology and innovation in the electric vehicle space, but to addressing the impact of climate change; it was the first Formula E team to be awarded the FIA Environmental Accreditation Three-Star rating, demonstrating best practice and excellence in sustainability practices. Formula E The ABB FIA Formula E World Championship is the closest and most competitive category in motorsport, with unpredictable and exciting electric racing in the centre of the world’s most iconic cities. Formula E is the fastest-growing series in motorsport and boasts the best roster in racing, where renowned road car manufacturers and automotive brands battle for points, position and bragging rights. Your time is now with Maurice Lacroix For almost 50 years, Maurice Lacroix has demonstrated all of its watchmaking expertise, crafting watches within the brand’s Manufacture in Saignelégier, Switzerland. Having won more than fifteen awards, the brand has demonstrated an innovative, avant-garde and perfectionist spirit over the years. Maurice Lacroix’s culture is indeed to offer affordable watches, with iconic design and high perceived value. In 2016, Maurice Lacroix reinterpreted its iconic model of the 90s, the Calypso, releasing the AIKON. Modern and daring, the AIKON is made for a generation of Millennials who are connected, cosmopolitan and talented. This ambitious generation is setting out to conquer the world’s cities, embracing their unique spirit. A constant source of inspiration for the Maurice Lacroix creative team, an active and urban brand, that thrives in the electric energy of these cities. With this in mind, Maurice Lacroix chooses to associate its image with a set of activities that allow consumers to experience the unique vitality of city life.

  • The Dead Sea Belongs to the Living!

The Lowest Point on Earth is Shrinking Rapidly Initial exposure to dramatic timeline images of the Dead Sea By Noam Bedein The equivalent of 600 Olympic pools evaporates in the Dead Sea. Every day! Today, 98 percent of the remaining northern Dead Sea is no longer accessible to the public. We made it our main mission at the Dead Sea Revival Project to access the wonders of the Dead Sea to the public through innovative ecotourism. It is no secret that the Dead Sea, Israel's world wonder at the lowest point on earth, is shrinking rapidly. The water line has receded from the beaches, over 7,000 sinkholes have opened up along the length of the Dead Sea, the Ein Gedi and Mineral beaches have had to close their gates in recent years, and the lifeguard posts on the three remaining northern beaches need every year to be repositioned in accordance with the newly receding coastline. As it recedes, new layers, salt formations and spectacular geological phenomena are revealed beyond the surface of the turquoise sea, illustrating the sadly deceptive beauty of the continuous evaporation of the sea. There are two main reasons that the Dead Sea is at its lowest level in recorded history. Overpumping by industries and factories on the Israeli and Jordanian sides of the Dead Sea, add up to about 25%-30% of the shrinkage. The main reason for the shriveling of the Sea is that there is not enough (sweet) water flowing into the Dead Sea. The historic water sources of the Dead Sea, namely the Jordan River and the Sea of Galilee and their sources, are blocked by dams built in the neighboring countries and in Israel (such as the famous Degania Dam). The streams of the Jordan River are diverted and water is pumped from it for drinking purposes mainly on the Jordanian side and for agricultural needs on both sides of the river. About 10% of the Jordan River currently flows into the Dead Sea. On the Israeli side, there is no single authority that is responsible for solving the sad situation of the retreating Dead Sea. On the other hand, Jordan is too occupied with providing a valid water supply for the benefit of its water-thirsty population (being among the driest and thirstiest countries in the world) long before a government plan can be put forwards to save the salty lake. The efforts made to save the Dead Sea in recent years are very complex and politically oriented: On the one hand, struggle and lobbying against many government authorities and ministries along with media and public relations campaigns funded by green organizations against the Dead Sea factories. On the other hand, there is the geopolitics, water diplomacy, and cooperation between Israel and Jordan in the context of saving the Dead Sea since the peace agreement between the two countries in 1994. Indeed, a 25-year joint solution project the ‘Red Sea-Dead Sea’ canal, estimated cost at over 12 billion dollars, has been officially off the table since November 2021. There is currently no government action plan or official vision for saving the Dead Sea, adopted by the government of Israel or the Kingdom of Jordan. The Dead Sea Belongs to the Living! While the many efforts mentioned above are vital and important, they consist of long-term solutions that will take many years, if not more than a decade to implement. These ideas and plans are not enough to motivate the general public to take action, or to be emotionally involved in the loss of a national and world heritage site. For this to happen the public need to experience first-hand what is happening at the Northern Dead Sea, which is now separated from the artificial tourist attraction of the Southern Dead Sea. Whereas almost 100% of the northern Dead Sea is currently inaccessible, the Southern Dead Sea and the hotel district in Ein Bokek are 100% artificial. The renovation and the beautiful facelift of the boardwalk and the Dead Sea's hotel beaches dazzle the public from the fact that the southern Dead Sea (more accurately the Dead Sea pools) has been completely cut off by land from the remaining northern Dead Sea, for over 40 years. The public should be able to take a stronger stand and be a more involved partner in the struggle to save the Dead Sea from disappearing. In order to harness the public, it is necessary to make the sea accessible in an environmentally and considerate way and to allow for an opportunity to expose the public to this wonder of nature through an inspirational and exciting experience. The more the public is personally enthused, the more they will appreciate it, and grasp the loss for them and for the next generation and hopefully will be motivated to take action. The chain reaction will bring to the fore practical solutions alongside long-term sustainable solutions for the preservation of the Dead Sea. A crowdfunding campaign was launched inviting the public to take an active role in establishing eco-educational marine activities in the northern Dead Sea. In addition, a Dead Sea photo exhibition is in the works and will be exhibited at the Dead Sea Art Museum in Arad in Southern Israel overlooking the Dead Sea. The exhibit will be showcasing the dramatic time-lapse pairs shown in this article and more, to raise awareness for the alarming state of the Dead Sea. The exhibition is set to take place towards the end of April ahead of Earth Day. Noam Bedein, a photojournalist and public speaker is the founder and director of the Dead Sea Revival Project- An NGO founded in 2016, which aims to influence public opinion and enlist global support for the restoration of the Dead Sea’s water sources and promote a Middle Eastern alliance for water sustainability.

  • Copenhagen Fashion Week Day 1

Amazing first day in Copenhagen, with one of the highlights was the Danish company Remain's Fall Winter 2023/2024 collection presented in Mineral Water Factory. Recent renovations by architect Dorte Mandrup have made the almost 100-year-old Carlsbergbyen Mineral Water Factory look raw and contemporary amid the city's newest international neighborhood. This well selected location for a fashion show featuring and serving as a metaphor for the Danish company Remain, which so expertly strikes a balance between staying faithful to its roots and modernizing it so that the garments are constantly up-to-date. Remain Fall Winter 2023/2024 For the collection Christensen puts an emphasis on simplicity and fronted by a diverse cast of models, the raw concrete was presented softly on a basic, natural-colored backdrop with outfits rich in details. There were also dresses in punched blonde leather, tops with corset laces in the back and beige pleated skirts on men, as well as masculine, very oversize habit and bomber jackets on women, which are less alien to American men's fashion in the 1940s. The raw concrete was indoors softly on a simple, natural-colored backdrop as the backdrop for a collection designed by Denise Christensen and her team with a focus on simplicity and fronted by a versatile Georg Jensen's new sculptural silver collections Reflect and Arc gave the various styles more weight. In addition to tactile wool in heavy tweed and light bouclé with silky satin and knits were added to the collection. However, when a fur coated model coated appeared on the runway, it turns out that Remain stays loyal to the Copenhagen Fashion Week's new charter, which is in effect as of this year, and it is the first fur-free fashion week. I later learned that it was really not a fur but sheepskin, which is still allowed. Remain was founded with the goal of designing clothing in a timeless, but never boring, style with excellent craftsmanship that would last a long time. The most popular material has always been leather, and Denise Christensen was able to push it to the limit by stamping it as cloth. This time, some of it had undergone a treatment, giving it the appearance of what we once referred to as "antique clothing," though it was still soft and delectable like in the almost Western corsage evening dress. The other skin had undergone the finest symmetrical block print on a lovely full-length beige coat. Guests at the show: Fleur Van De Buurt Hikmat Mohammed, writer for The Telegraph. Gem and watch enthusiasts will discover an astonishing offer of high-profile names like Swiss Gübelin Jewellery that offers sustainable fine jewellery. Art's new mecca is the World-leading contemporary and modern art gallery Hauser & Wirth, which occupies three floors in Palace Galerie, a building owned by Badrutt’s Palace Hotel-another legendary hotel. Main lobby Kulm Hotel. St. Moritz has long been an enclave of creativity. The surrounding area was home to the Giacometti family and Alpine painter Giovanni Segantini. Over the course of the past two centuries, a range of cultural and intellectual figures have visited and been inspired by the Upper Engadine region, from philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche, writer Thomas Mann and dancer Vaslav Nijinsky, to a host of artists including Gerhard Richter, Julian Schnabel, Richard Long, and Joseph Beuys. The cosy ambience of the newly opened Kulm Country Club; featuring an alpine-chic bar and a generous sun terrace overlooking the Kulm Park. Skiing, shopping or even playing snow polo at 1,856m above sea level is energy consuming, and the resort aptly provides another highlight since 1994, the St. Moritz Gourmet Festival, which has developed into an international event over the years bringing together some of the best Chefs from all corners of the world. Here the first five of the festival’s ten Guest Chefs - Najat Kaanache, Sami Tamimi, Silvena Rowe, Tomer Tal and Zineb "Zizi" Hattab - enchanted 300 guests and gourmands with dishes prepared by the Guest- and Local Chefs from the festival partner Superior 5-star hotels: Badrutt’s Palace Hotel; Carlton Hotel; Grand Hotel des Bains Kempinski; Grand Hotel Kronenhof; Hotel Saratz; Hotel Giardino Mountain; Nira Alpina; Hotel Waldhaus Sils; Kulm Hotel St. Moritz und Suvretta House. Over the years, the program highlights have changed, but the concept remains the same and successful. Guest Chefs have carte blanche to prepare a bespoke menu for "Gourmet Dîners", to be served at the host property's dining establishment, which is worth a trip all by itself. This is the pinnacle of gastronomic indulgence when combined with Gourmet Safaris for more than a week, and everyone raves about the legendary Kitchen party held in the kitchen of the Badrutt's Palace Hotel, where Executive Chef Maxime Luvara resides. Ten top chefs from the world’s most renowned fine-dining restaurants offering the diverse cuisine of the Middle East, delighting the festival's guests at more than 40 different culinary events, with their culinary skills. The response to the Official Events and the Special Events, which have been almost fully booked, has been consistently positive. It is inconceivable to imagine the St. Moritz Gourmet Festival without the Gourmet Safaris, which were completely sold out after just a few days this year. During the gourmet tours through the various partner hotels, guests are cooked for by one of the Guest Chefs or a Local Chef in each hotel and can enjoy a menu course seated at the chef’s table in the kitchen. Guests could go on a culinary discovery tour while traveling in style in a fleet of Porsche cars. "Even the last few Gourmet Dîner evenings are almost fully booked," said Heinz Hunkeler, member of the festival event organisation and Director of the Kulm Hotel St. Moritz. St. Moritz Gourmet Festival culminates at the Kulm Hotel The Oriental Closing Night, which took place at the Kulm Hotel St. Moritz on Saturday, January 28, marked the grand finale of the St. Moritz Gourmet Festival. With cooking stations representing the Head Chefs and teams of five partner hotels, the lobby of the Kulm Hotel served as the beginning point for the delightful, flavourful, and enjoyable voyage into a 1001 Night's Gourmet experience. The five Guest Chefs, Alan Geaam, Musa Dagdeviren, Gal Ben Moshe, Athanasios Kargatzidis, and Raz Rahav (above) created the menu for this private and fully booked gala dinner; the food, presentation, and ambience are more intimate and exclusive than at almost any other event. In the magnificently adorned "Sunny Bar" of the hotel, the evening comes to a perfect conclusion. It began with an extremely lavish hot and cold mezze prepared by Chef Kargatzidis, who served, smoked cod's roe, doughnut kibbeh lamb neyyeh topped with caviar, kaumouni, arak toum, crisp taboon lamb sujouk and more. I was amazed that Kargatzidis, as a Greek Chef opened this gala dinner, but I was not surprised; as I experienced the night before at his Gourmet Dîner and in an interview earlier that day with the Chef, I understood how long term and deep his passion for this cuisine is. Starters by Chef Athanasios Kargatzidis. Despite the chaotic state of Beirut, where his restaurant Baron is located, and the uncertainties surrounding supply and inflation. Even though his property was devastated in the disastrous explosion and he lost the restaurant, which is located right by the harbor, he was adamant that it had to be rebuilt, and in fact, it was within three months. This demonstrated to me his commitment to this region of the world. Chef Athanasios Kargatzidis. Kargatzidis is a firm believer that the success of a restaurant depends on his ability to compose a menu that is strongly appealing to him personally and takes point of departure in dishes that he knows and values as opposed to guessing which dishes guests would prefer. His dishes are not a "replication of Lebanese cuisine and hospitality per se", as I understood from my talk with the Chef, rather it is Kargatzidis' personal collection of favourite flavour combinations, as he introduced to me the idea behind his approach to the Middle Eastern cuisine. It was refreshing to explore the Chef's favourite dishes and his so richly "Gourmet Dîner" menu, which he served at the edgy Kulm Country Club, where a 7-course meal was accompanied by the live music and the best service one could wish for. So, already after dining at the Kulm Country Club my initial experience of the Festival was "awesome" to use the same expression as the Chef used to describe his time in St. Moritz. Kargatzidis was Guest Chef of three-star Michelin Chef Mauro Colagreco, "a legend" is the term he used to describe Colagreco, and told me that he never felt so good being taken care of by another Chef. Personal and dedicated menu Equally, I have also felt so good being taken care of, at the Oriental Closing Night in a company of imminent table guests, we were still to experience plates by four other Guest Chefs. The next served was Mom's chicken soup by Chef Raz Rahav, it had a warming taste and idea behind it, the Guest Chef of Local Chef Fabrizio Crespi explained the family story behind this "family dish". It made the dinner experience very familial and intimate. Again, quite an unexpected and warm gesture from the Chef to us as guests. The special base note of this soup was a grilled chicken flavour which the Chef appreciated so much growing up. Michelin-starred Chef Alan Geaam, creates scampo in wine leaf featuring citrus fruits. The following dish was prepared by Michelin-starred Guest Chef Alan Geaam, from Paris, as a guest of Executive Chef Fabrizio Piantanida, Grand Hotel Kronenhof. His langustine in vine leaf plays with the traditional dolma (often rice stuffed vine leaf or vegetable), however the half-cooked langustine played well against the acidity of citrus fruits in this dish. It was a very smart way of introducing seafood in the menu. Of course, there was the main course, the most delicate and historic lamb dish, Sultan’s delight (Hunkar begendi) by Chef Musa Dağdeviren, from Çiya renowned as the best Turkish restaurant in Istanbul. Dağdeviren has appeared on the Netflix show "Chef’s Table", and is the author of "The Turkish Cookbook" (2019), he was a guest of Executive Chef Gero Porstein, Hotel Waldhaus Sils. Sultan’s delight is said to have been prepared for a Sultan during the Ottoman empire who liked it so much. Another anecdote says that it was served for Empress Eugenie, wife of Napoleon III, during a visit to the Sultan at the time. Either way, this is a great gesture by probably the greatest chef in Istanbul to introduce a dish that is indeed fit for royalty and wonderfully comforting. Finding oneself in such great company and the ambience of the Hotel Kulm doesn't necessarily make you feel royal but it evokes a sense of dignity and great appreciation for the extraordinary hard work and preparations that went into this Festival that culminates in such a great evening! This lamb dish was very different from the lamb served by Kargatzidis at his Gourmet Dîners, not only in the way it was prepared but also the flavours and spices used. While Kargatzidis proposes a very traditional Middle Eastern lamb dish, slowly grilled, Dağdeviren's lamb is very "Westernised" served on a base of eggplant-bechamel sauce. Exemplifying the versatility of the Middle Eastern cuisine and the fact that fusions are not such a new concept, but has existed since the Silk Road trade and goes back to the Roman Empire and Alexander the Great, and probably even earlier. It is exciting to understand food and dishes, how they are prepared, consumed and introduced from an anthropological viewpoint. It is a self discovery not only about our taste and likes but about us as contemporary individuals in a specific period of time. Michelin-starred Chef Gal Ben Moshe (centre) preparing Olive oil parfait. I do not have a similar historic reference to the next dish served, but we all agreed that night at the table after tasting it that it will become historic from now on. The incredibly smooth and complicated dessert is truly impossible to describe visually in short, so I added an image. Its creator, the Michelin-starred Guest Chef Gal Ben Moshe, from Prism, Berlin, and Guest of Executive Chef Rolf Fliegauf, Hotel Giardino Mountain, had so many praising words for his colleague that it was definitely true that participating in the Festival creates bonds and friendships that would otherwise never happen. And this may be the greatest gift of the evening; besides the best imaginable food prepared, there was an opportunity to establish the best friendships, and for this experience, which I will always cherish, I am most thankful! Olive oil parfait with almond sablé, mandarins, olive brine pâte de fruit. Joyful anticipation of the St. Moritz Gourmet Festival 2024 Foodies everywhere can already look forward to the next edition of the St. Moritz Gourmet Festival. An anniversary will be celebrated in 2024, when the festival will take place for the 30th time. "We will announce the exact dates within the next few weeks," said Martin Scherer, President of the St. Moritz Gourmet Festival Association and Director of the "Hotel Saratz" in Pontresina. He promises: "For the 30th Anniversary of the legendary St. Moritz Gourmet Festival, the organising committee has come up with something very special - time to get excited!" This sounds appetizing, and I am intrigued to discover how the Association selects a new and original theme each year and most importantly, what the next year's theme going to be. Stay tuned!
