  • Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc unveils 46 larger suites and bespoke DIOR Spa

Following a process of structural remodelling for some, and comprehensive redecoration for all, Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc will open the doors to 46 reimagined suites in 2023. All images courtesy of Oetker Collection Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc, part of the Oetker Collection portfolio of Masterpiece Hotels, will reopen on April 14th for the 2023 season with seven fewer keys than in 2022 following a thorough renovation project undertaken to modernise and expand the hotel’s suites. Overseen by Countess Bergit Gräfin Douglas of MM-Design Frankfurt, the renovations are being performed in the Eden-Roc Pavilion, the Hotel du Cap main building and Les Deux Fontaines residence, bringing a new aesthetic and updated features to the suites in all of the hotel’s common locations. A timeless décor speaks through Countess Bergit Gräfin Douglas’ choice of interiors by Pierre Frey, Loro Piana and Manuel Canovas, elaborated in a varied palette of blues and whites to reflect the intrinsic character of each building. Marie-Catherine Douglas of Douglas Kunstberatung GmbH was consulted to advise on the artwork throughout, which will present a mix of original postmodern and contemporary works by Andy Warhol, John Baldessari and Alex Katz, as well as other notable figures of 20th and 21st century art. Dior SPA Eden-Roc Pavilion Upon retreating to Eden-Roc Pavilion’s sea-facing Junior Suites, guests will pass by a series of flower paintings by Andy Warhol in the hallway. All 31 Junior Suites are being fully refreshed with the creative input from British interior designer Francis Sultana, and Countess Bergit Gräfin Douglas has ensured that eighty percent of the suites’ decorative elements were sourced in Europe, with most coming from France. Each boasting a direct view of the Mediterranean Sea and the Lérins Islands, the Junior Suites feature natural materials such as cotton, linen and wool in a palette of vibrant blues, pristine whites and shades of green echoing the contrast of sea, sky and the hotel’s verdant gardens. The furniture embraces a yachting spirit in harmonious white with soft-toned wood. Two custom pieces by Francis Sultana include a private bar console and a glass and bronze shelving unit named ‘Ella’ after one of the hotel’s illustrious guests, Ella Fitzgerald. Ensuring an environment ideally equipped for the possibility of remote work, each suite in the Eden-Roc Pavilion features a writing desk by Philippe Hurel. Eden-Roc Suite Featuring an expansive rooftop terrace, the Eden-Roc Suite is the largest of all with 200 square metres of indoor and outdoor living space. The Pavilion’s sensational, 100-square-metre Eden-Roc Suite is reimagined as a seaside penthouse apartment in soft tones of white, cream and sea blue. The tranquil bedroom features a four-poster bed facing the floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the Mediterranean, while the living room invites guests to make themselves at home with the comfort of a large wrap-around sofa, a writing desk, a dining table and a well curated library. The suite’s indoors open seamlessly onto an expansive teak terrace that doubles the overall living space to 200 square metres and includes a graceful pergola and a whirlpool bath to enjoy an invigorating soak with views of the hypnotic blue sea. The Eden-Roc Suite is a truly glamorous space, ideal for hosting a private dinner. Hotel du Cap Main Building and Les Deux Fontaines Residence Two paintings by New York based contemporary artist Landon Metz animate the central hallway in the main building with their expressive use of colour and shape. Stately and traditional in nature, the main building’s four new One-Bedroom Suites will blend details dating back to the hotel’s opening in 1870 — towering ceilings, crown moulding, period chandeliers, Louis XV furniture — with contemporary additions that create a distinguished harmony between past and present. In a hushed palette of cream and sky blue, the Suites will feature custom details such as a mahogany table by Maison Tallarda and carpet by Pinton, in addition to a coffee table in bronze and limestone by Alberto Giacometti. In the adjacent Les Deux Fontaines Residence, four Double Rooms are being converted into two 60-square metre Junior Suites, offering guests added comfort for their summer stay on Cap d’Antibes with newly refreshed and bright interiors. Designed with contemporary lifestyles in mind, and out of respect for the property’s over 150-year history, Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc’s new suites inspire a palpable feeling of ‘home away from home’.

  • Vinoy Resort and Golf Club Unveiled After Highly Anticipated Renovation

The Iconic Vinoy Resort and Golf Club Emerges From Highly Anticipated Renovation, Joining Marriott Bonvoy’s Autograph Collection Hotels. More Grandeur Still to Come An icon for nearly 100 years, The Vinoy Resort and Golf Club, Autograph Collection has completed the initial phase of a comprehensive renovation led by world-renowned architecture and design firm Rockwell Group with Hart Howerton as architect of record. Capturing the magic of Florida’s Golden Age and reflecting the resort’s rich history through a refined yet sophisticated lens, the renovation includes The Vinoy’s legendary Veranda; refined grand lobby; elegant guest rooms; historic ballrooms and meeting spaces; diverse international dining experiences; and a new spa and wellness area. As a new Autograph Collection property, every detail was carefully considered by a respected historic preservation expert, who advised throughout the design process. The Vinoy Resort and Golf Club, Autograph Collection - Veranda Bar The cornerstone of downtown St. Petersburg completes first phase of transformation that honors resort’s celebrated legacy. The Vinoy Resort and Golf Club, Autograph Collection - Lobby The renowned hotel, listed on the U.S. National Register of Historic Places and a member of Historic Hotels of America, embodies the ethos of Autograph Collection Hotels – independent hotels with their own identity, selected on four curatorial principles: product vision, heartfelt design, dedication to craft, and sense of place. Part of Marriott Bonvoy’s portfolio of 30 extraordinary brands, the diverse and dynamic collection of independent hotels around the world, hand selects each hotel that is unlike any other, and offers guests rich, immersive moments that leave a lasting imprint. “Every property within Autograph Collection Hotels has a truly unique story, and The Vinoy Resort and Golf Club, Autograph Collection is one of those ‘Exactly Like Nothing Else’ experiences," said Jennifer Connell, Global Brand Leader, Autograph Collection Hotels, and Vice President, Distinctive Premium Brands, Marriott International. “The Vinoy has made its mark over the last 100 years, claiming an iconic status in Florida. With this comprehensive redesign rooted in its historic heritage, we look forward to celebrating a new, exciting chapter for the resort.” As the only Autograph Collection Hotels property in St. Petersburg, The Vinoy Resort and Golf Club, will deliver an intimate connection to the destination, with authentic moments weaved into all guest experiences, and thoughtful design that nods to the resort’s glamorous past while embracing a new era. Its Mark, a point of distinction unique to Autograph Collection Hotels properties, will be a special moment upon check-in, in which a Vinoy team member presents historic postcards to guests that depict different scenes of The Vinoy, while sharing their favorite memory of the cherished resort. Each guest will then be invited to tour the resort with a docent and visit a newly designed history gallery, where they will see artifacts from The Vinoy’s beginnings, such as original room keys, plate ware, and handwritten postcards highlighting some of the first guest visits. “The Vinoy Resort and Golf Club, Autograph Collection has served as the front porch of the St. Petersburg community for nearly a century, and its refreshed aesthetic pays homage to its legacy while also representing our revitalized downtown,” said Vanessa Williams, the resort’s general manager. “The Vinoy is stepping onto the world’s stage as one of a few waterfront hotels in the United States that has full resort amenities along with urban walkability. Steps from the front door, guests have choice of multiple world class museums and hundreds of restaurants all within walking distance. We look forward to graciously welcoming guests and locals for generations to come.” A Showstopping Arrival From the moment one enters The Vinoy’s elegant front drive, the historic resort welcomes guests to timeless glamour, artfully embracing them with hospitality inspired by a bygone era. The reimagined arrival court, designed by Hart Howerton, highlights the dramatically detailed original entry portal while incorporating original 1920s brick that has been carefully re-laid and is surrounded by indigenous Floridian foliage. The enchanting Veranda, The Vinoy’s iconic front porch, is enhanced with custom Rockwell Group-designed rocking chairs, a Vinoy tradition since its opening in 1925, and a custom designed bar. With nods to the urban resort’s illustrious past, Rockwell Group introduced a design throughout the public spaces and guest rooms that celebrates The Vinoy’s traditional Mediterranean Revival style and old-world Florida grandeur. When guests walk through the Vinoy’s front door, they instantly become part of the resort’s rich history, stepping onto the lobby’s original ceramic tile flooring and viewing the original cypress wood beam ceiling from 1925. The original details are balanced with contemporary design elements including custom, lantern-like chandeliers that make the room sparkle. The lobby is home to newly opened French patisserie Lottie and luxury fashion boutique Sunni Spencer, which sells chic, resort-inspired clothing, accessories and swimwear. Above the lobby, the mezzanine level will be home to a revitalized history gallery that captures The Vinoy’s one-of-a-kind story, having served as the host of important social events and welcoming famous guests including U.S. presidents, athletes and celebrities. “Our goal was always to honor The Vinoy’s storied past and history as an architectural icon of St. Petersburg,” says Shawn Sullivan, partner of Rockwell Group. “Rockwell Group’s design concept blends a sophisticated, contemporary language with grand historic features. I think guests will be both surprised and delighted by the ways in which unmistakably 21st century elements really reinvent the property’s rich legacy.” Elegant Residential-Style Guest Rooms Rockwell Group’s design of The Vinoy’s elegant guest rooms is influenced by Florida’s coastal topography and features the hotel’s signature polished palette, streamlined crown molding and dramatic fixtures that create a sense of laid-back sophistication. Commissioned, custom art by painter Alicia LaChance adorns the walls, while the floors transition from wood to custom, blue-patterned carpeting, presenting the look of sand meeting the sea and creating distinction between the sleeping area and the rest of the room. In the King rooms, cane panels separate the entry vestibule from the bedroom area, furthering the coastal feel. Luxurious stone-covered bathrooms, most of which have marble walk-in showers, feature luxe Ortigia Sicilia toiletries. Other in-room amenities include a coffee station and charming dressing area that make every room feel welcoming and spacious, creating a special moment upon entry. Internationally Inspired Dining Experiences The Vinoy Resort and Golf Club, Autograph Collection’s diverse new food and beverage concepts elevate the resort as an inviting and stylish social hub, removing the lines where the hotel stops and the community begins. Lottie, the new chic French patisserie in the resort’s lobby, serves exquisite house-made pastries and sweets, including a signature pistachio cake, macarons, gelato, and over 20 flavors of truffles. The menu also features elevated renditions of classic French lunch fare such as seared tuna niçoise salad, quiche Lorraine and a jambon fromage sandwich on a flaky croissant with brie, prosciutto and fig jam. Lottie exclusively serves La Colombe coffee including the Lottie Latte, a warming blend of cinnamon-infused espresso, orange essence, and oat milk. Lottie’s photo-worthy custom china features an image of its signature Dachshund logo. The Vinoy’s reimagined Veranda, overlooking the glistening Tampa Bay, has introduced an enticing new menu of creative takes on classic craft cocktails, plus Mediterranean inspired shareable plates, light entrees and desserts. Standout dishes include the Bianca Flatbread, topped with artichokes, zucchini, feta, parmigiano and mozzarella; fresh seafood including oysters, tuna carpaccio, and red snapper crudo; and the signature Veranda Spritz cocktails, which are best enjoyed while joining in on the storied Vinoy tradition of relaxing in a rocking chair while taking in the gorgeous waterfront views. Opening this summer, Parasol, a vibrant Latin American-inspired, full-service outdoor restaurant with panoramic views of the Tampa Bay waterfront, will also overlook the historic resort’s all new glamorous pool deck. Parasol will create an energetic, island-like atmosphere with a menu starring fresh seafood, bright flavors and spices, and tropical craft cocktails ideal for poolside indulging. The restaurant will feature a marble wrap-around bar and living green wall. These exciting outlets join The Vinoy’s existing signature restaurants, Paul’s Landing and The Vinoy Club Grill. Peaceful Spa and Wellness Haven Inspired by the therapeutic qualities of the ocean, the luxurious full service Vinoy Spa embraces a holistic approach to health and well-being in a refined space that combines marble, natural wood, fluted glass and a soothing, nature-inspired color palette. Welcoming guests with calming Naturopathica tea to set the relaxing mood from the start, the spa features four treatment rooms and focuses on coastal-inspired and plant-based therapies that provide a rejuvenating wellness experience, including massages, facials, full-body therapies, and nail and hair services. Spa treatments incorporate the latest advancements in natural skincare, including infrared light therapy, cupping massages from Bellabaci and pioneering holistic ingredients such as sea retinol, manuka honey, crystals, enhanced broad-spectrum CBD, and sustainable sea algae. Marine-infused treatments include the Healing Waters Body Treatment, a bayside ritual that incorporates a seawater crystal scrub and a relaxing massage that mimics the ocean's waves. The Vinoy Spa emphasizes natural and organic products, featuring premium brands including renowned dermatologist Dr. Dennis Gross’s line; PHYTOMER, a French beauty line using sustainable ingredients derived from the sea; Naturopathica, a botanical skincare brand that addresses beauty from within; and hair products from Davines. The Vinoy Spa graciously complements the resort’s state-of-the-art fitness center, which features Peloton bikes, daily indoor/outdoor group classes, and a colorful mural by local artist Chad Mize painted in The Vinoy’s signature pink and green, as well as the resort’s tennis complex and The Vinoy Club’s 18-hole championship golf course. Historic Ballrooms and Functional Event Spaces As one of the most sought-after venues in the Tampa Bay area with over 60,000 square feet of event space, The Vinoy has been a welcoming host to flawless weddings, elegant celebrations, and inspiring meetings for decades. Rockwell Group designed The Vinoy’s two distinct ballrooms each with its own personality. The Vinoy Grand Ballroom makes every event feel special, honoring the resort’s timeless aesthetic with elegant yet modern upgrades including a restoration of the room’s shimmering focal point, the blown glass chandelier, Luna, by Dale Chihuly. Sophisticated new carpeting, drapery, and furnishings create a sense of refined elegance in the space’s light and airy atmosphere. The ballroom’s dramatic arched windows now overlook a new, lush garden, bringing the resort’s tropical natural surroundings into the luxurious and historic space. The Palm Court Ballroom and entrance hall debuts a neutral color palette with polished brown accents that bring warmth into the space, chic Art Deco chandeliers and sconces that reference the resort’s past, and brand-new flooring, walls, and recessed ceilings. The Vinoy’s 22 meeting rooms are named after St. Petersburg parks and contributors to creation of the original Vinoy Park Hotel. More Grandeur Still to Come A fine dining restaurant off the grand lobby with a romantic, raised garden terrace that comes alive at night with lanterns and white tablecloth service, will complete the final phase of renovations. • 'After the Mediterranean' now open in Hauser & Wirth Menorca

Following a residency in Menorca, the seven artists in the group exhibition, curated by Oriol Fontdevila, address areas of friction and introduce stories that testify to the human capacity to tackle the region's challenges. ‘After the Mediterranean’ is an exhibition curated by curator, writer and art researcher Oriol Fontdevila, which brings together seven artists whose work addresses the social and ecological challenges affecting the region: Erola Arcalís, Adjoa Armah, Laia Estruch, artist collective Huniti Goldox, Omar Mismar, Sara Ouhaddou and Abi Shehu. Oriol Fontdevila (b. 1978 Manresa, Spain) is a curator, writer and art researcher. He was curator of Catalonia’s representation in the 59th Venice Biennale 2022, organised under the aegis of the Institut Ramon Llull. Exhibition in Hauser & Wirth Menorca. All images courtesy of Hauser & Wirth. ‘After the Mediterranean’ is on view until 29 October and an exhibition by Christina Quarles will open on 17 June. ‘What will become of the Mediterranean in the next geological epoch? What will the hundreds of migrants who venture across this sea every day find beyond it? What representations will replace the idea of a bucolic sea?’ – Oriol Fontdevila The exhibition brings together a group of artists, many of whom originate from, work within or in relation to territories bordering the Mediterranean. This includes among others Spanish, Albanian, French Moroccan and Lebanese artists. They present existing and new works, the latter created through a residency programme taking place in Menorca over the winter often in collaboration with local makers such as ceramicists and weavers. A public programme runs alongside the exhibition, engaging learning institutions, local organisations and communities, as well as the general public. ‘After the Mediterranean’ conjures a diverse series of futures to address ideas around the human and ecological crises that currently impact the region. The exhibition questions, on the one hand, the idea of the Mediterranean as it has been—and continues to be—articulated: as a gentle, sunny sea, as an idyllic region with an equally tranquil way of life, as a place where cultures could coexist, trade and move around in harmony – in line with the tradition of critical thinking relying upon the work of historian Fernand Braudel. ‘Through their practice, the artists in the exhibition confront this legacy with the problems that have arisen from the current climate emergency, from post-colonialism and the Arab Spring, from successive migrations and the policies that prevent free movement across this sea’, Oriol Fontdevila has commented. At the same time, ‘After the Mediterranean’ introduces new thoughts and stories that testify to the human capacity to tackle the region’s challenges. Hauser & Wirth Menorca is closed from 29 May until 16 June due to installation. Oriol Fontdevila (b. 1978 Manresa, Spain) is a curator, writer and art researcher. He has been a guest professor at various master’s degrees and study programs and he taught on EINA’s Degree in Design and on UOC’s Degree in Fine Arts. • Dior hosts a star-studded show in Mumbai

Dior pays hommage to rich Indian craftmanship tradition with a star-studded show in Mumbai. The French label unveiled its Pre-Fall 2023 collection in front of a star-studded audience that included local and international royal guests, and our valued Art Contributor Shalini Passi, alongside Bollywood stars Rekha, Sonam Kapoor, and Anushka Sharma, as well as models Cara Delevingne and Maisie Williams, against the historic Gateway of India monument. Through the silhouettes, the Creative Director of Dior women's lines celebrates the plurality of the most excellent savoir-faire, thus allowing the visionary spirit of the founding couturier and his successors to shine far and wide. A color block sequence dedicated to silks – green, yellow, pink, and purple – pays homage to Marc Bohan, with sophisticated evening coats and straight skirts inspired by the sari and traditional Indian cuts, representing an actual sartorial genealogy defined by the multiple legacies of fashion. A fascinating odyssey that transcends borders and eras. Finding a new ingenious way of talking about feelings and emotions that can connect us with a country and its culture is precisely what Maria Grazia Chiuri wished to accomplish in this Dior Fall 2023 collection, with a view to explaining the collaboration, work relations and friendship linking her for many years to India and Karishma Swali, who directs the Chanakya ateliers and the Chanakya School of Craft, in Mumbai. A place of exchange, study, and emancipation for many women, a laboratory to explore different types of savoir-faire that the Creative Director of Dior women’s lines has long celebrated, highlighting thus the visionary spirit of the founding-couturier.The archives reveal Dior models created by Marc Bohan, the then Artistic Director, who traveled to India in April 1962,notably to Mumbai and Delhi, initiating conversation between France and India. For Marc Bohan, these presentations were significant events, heralding a new departure under his artistic direction: younger customers, and a more dynamic, contemporary approach to fashion and ready-to-wear. Maria Grazia Chiuri has chosen color palettes and materials that crystalize key influences shared with Karishma Swali of Chanakya. The Creative Director of Dior women’s collections works on timeless clothing forms that have stayed intact through time, allowing her to (re)design her favorite models. A color block sequence dedicated to silks – in shades of green, yellow, pink and purple –, in homage to Marc Bohan, is embodied by sophisticated evening coats, sari-inspiredstraight skirts and traditional Indian cuts, as well as pants, boleros, jackets and tops: a veritable sartorial genealogy defined by different heritages and fashion cultures. The embroidery – both protagonist and search engine, opens up all the possibilities of this craft – and becomes a tool for appraising, through the relationship between Dior and the Chanakya ateliers and the Chanakya School of Craft, the multiple landscapes of India: this cartography mixes and spotlights the various techniques which, via the School’s work processes, become the realm of a woman’s legacy and an instrument at once of inventiveness and empowerment.Geometric shapes frame in gold the silver sequins and strass; bewitching decorative motifs come forth in this kaleidoscope of colors on the silk of pajamas, blouses and dresses. The revisited toile de Jouy stands out in a vaporous palette of green, much like a camouflage magnified by elements of Indian landscapes populated by talismanic animals dear to this plural civilization. The collection, presented in Mumbai*, is the expression of a shared territory thanks to this project, which fully celebrates the collaboration between Dior and Chanakya. This creative dialogue perpetuates precious illustrations of exceptionalsavoir-faire, confirming the unfailing bond between France and India. *With the support of Directorate of Tourism - Government of Maharashtra and to the Indian Authorities in Mumbai Acknowledgements Production & DirectionBureau BETAK #DiorFall2023 Art InstallationThe Toran, Chanakya Ateliers and Chanakya School of Craft Ateliers / Karishma SwaliOrchestre /OrchestraOliver Coates & musiciansPerformanceAnuradha Pal & musiciansMusique /MusicMichel GAUBERTSouliers /ShoesChristian DIORMaquillage /Make-upPeter PHILIPS for Dior /Hair Guido PALAUCastingMichelle LEE LightsPhilippe CERCEAUVidéo /VideoTender Night A special thanks to the Directorate of Tourism - Government of Maharashtra and to the Indian Authorities in Mumbai / A special thanks to the ateliers and the suppliers of the House Explore Moralmoda Art Culture Lifestyle Travel Business Interviews Events Get in touch About us Contacts Subscribe

Bespoke experiences and ultra-exclusive surroundings are at the heart of the one-of-a-kind culinary journey at Sushi Hōseki, the Japanese concept that started at Bulgari Resort Dubai. With only 8 seats overlooking a private Japanese rock garden, the restaurant is helmed by the Japanese Chef Kenji Gyoten, awarded three Michelin Stars at Sushi Gyoten and offers a memorable gastronomic approach with the finest ingredients from Japan. Iconic Bulgari Hotels signature features such as The Bulgari Bar, Il Ristorante – Niko Romito, the fireplace Lounge, all with outdoor terrace, are available for hotel guests, as well as the Bulgari Dolci boutique, two dramatic Ballrooms and a Wedding Salon for guests who choose to celebrate their ceremony in a Bulgari style. INTRODUCTION TO BVLGARI RESTAURANTS Since 2007 Bvlgari has brought the brand’s distinctive style and sense of luxury to the cities of Tokyo and Osaka with the Michelin-starred Italian-style restaurant and lounge bar with terrace in Ginza, IL RISTORANTE - LUCA FANTIN and a café and chocolate shop in Osaka. Il Ristorante, which includes a rooftop terrace with an Italian-style garden and lounge bar, occupies the top four floors of the Bvlgari Ginza Tower, the Bvlgari flagship store in Ginza, the most prestigious luxury shopping district in Tokyo. With its imposing 56-meter-high façade, the eleven-floor Bvlgari Ginza Tower is an icon of metropolitan architecture for customers and visitors to Tokyo. Located at 2-7-12, Ginza, Chuo-ku, it is home to the largest Bvlgari store in the world, with 940 square meters of retail floor space. The façade and interiors of the Tower were designed by in-house Bvlgari architects, while the structure, inspired by a jewel box, was designed by the Shimizu Corporation. The four levels of the restaurant are reached by an elevator that departs from a private lobby located on the ground floor and accessible directly from Marronnier street. Two private dining rooms and a lounge area are located on the first level, on the eighth floor. The intermediate level, part of which is double-height, is situated on the ninth and tenth floors and houses the restaurant and overlooking bar. Enclosed by the large, glass curtain wall that rises from the ninth floor of the Ginza Tower, Il Ristorante offers a unique view of Tokyo from all angles thanks to the transparent, full-height glass façade, thus making the city almost an extension of the interior space. By ascending to the eleventh floor, visitors can continue admiring the unique panorama of the city from the terrace with Italian-style garden. In September 2016 Il Ristorante - Luca Fantin unveiled freshly renovated spaces designed by Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel Interiors and characterized by a modern, elegant, and rigorous style that echoes the architectural and decorative motifs of the Bvlgari Hotel restaurant in Milan. To complement, sumptuous new furniture by B&B Italia, Maxalto and Flexform have enriched the atmosphere of Il Bar. Undulating hanging curtains made from shimmering silk decorate the imposing nine-meterhigh windows of the restaurant. Custom-made by world-famous Venetian textile company Rubelli, a specialist of silk decorations, the curtains feature gold jacquard thread drawings to evoke The Bvlgari Zodiac. Bvlgari’s eight-pointed star is an eternal symbol of the Roman jeweller, woven into imaginary constellations that have been inspired by the most famous symbols of Bvlgari’s creativity. The constellations embrace Bvlgari’s sparkling jewellery collections with a magical aura: the femininity of Diva is interpreted by the Peacock, the sheer power of B.zero1 lives on in Leo, and the sensuality of the snake shines bright in a Serpenti constellation. Two impressive 7-meter high Murano blown glass chandeliers crown the ambience of Il Ristorante Luca Fantin to create a sophisticated yet cosy atmosphere. Custom-made by the Venetian company Barovier & Toso, the leading manufacturer specialized in decorative lighting of Murano glass, the chandeliers shine like jewelled stars over an elegant earth below. Il Ristorante, the Bar and the eighth-floor lounge are operated by Bvlgari Hotels & Resorts at the same standards of service developed for the Bvlgari Hotel in Milan, the Bali Resort and the Bvlgari Hotel & Residences in London Reservations: +81 3 6362 0555 tokyo@Bvlgarihotels.com www.Bvlgarihotels.com Ginza Tower, 2-7-12 Ginza, Chuo-ku Tokyo 104-0061 Japan AN INTRODUCTION TO BVLGARI RESTAURANTS IL RISTORANTE - LUCA FANTIN Based in Tokyo since 2009, Luca has worked at some of the world’s top-ranked restaurants including La Pergola in Rome, where he was sous chef under Heinz Beck. His style is a contemporary interpretation of traditional Italian cuisine, based on the use of topquality Japanese local raw materials that are elaborated with refined techniques and great creativity. Preferring slow cooking at low temperature rather than sautéed ingredients, his cookery is extremely light and authentic using herbs and edible flowers such as borage, calendula, or rosemary to flavour his dishes. His culinary creativity is particularly expressed with the way he cooks pasta, requiring a perfect harmony of consistencies. Some of his signature dishes include the “Pappa al Pomodoro” with crab, black olive chips and herb as well as the “Cacio & Pepe” homemade tagliolini with scallops, black truffle and chive-flavoured oil. Luca Fantin’s renowned cuisine added to the perfect combination of contemporary luxury and tradition, have established Il Ristorante as one of the most sophisticated dining experiences in Tokyo. Since 2014 he has taken part to Epicurea, the global gourmet festival of the Bvlgari Hotel in Milan, where the most prestigious chefs worldwide such as René Redzepi, Virgilio Martinez, Yoshihiro Narisawa, present a special menu in the frame of the Bvlgari Hotel. In 2014 he was awarded “Best Italian Chef in the World” by the prestigious Italian culinary guide Identità Golose by Paolo Marchi, the founder of the guide. This is the second recognition for Luca Fantin whose restaurant “Il Ristorante” at the #Bvlgari Ginza Tower had received one Michelin star in 2011. Luca Fantin also brought Epicurea food festival to Tokyo with top chefs of the world such as Massimo Bottura, Andoni Luis Aduriz, Carlo Cracco and Rodolfo Guzman. A sophisticated, stunning coffee-table book, its pages gleam with original photography and detail Fantin’s inspiration for each dish.

Exhilarating guided game drives offer guests the opportunity to observe the “Big Five” that Masai Mara is home to, including lions, leopards, buffalos, rhinoceros, and elephants. Between June and September, the reserve is host to the annual great wildebeest migration, which sees more than 10 million animals travel a distance of 1,800 miles from the Serengeti in neighboring Tanzania. “Fostering meaningful connections and nourishing the soul is at the heart of the JW Marriott brand, so entering the luxury safari segment is a natural next step,” said Bruce Rohr, Global Brand Leader, JW Marriott. “Offering our guests once-in-a-lifetime experiences and a deep connection to place, JW Marriott Masai Mara Lodge balances the thrill of a game drive with thoughtful opportunities to switch off and take it all in. The lodge donates a percentage of the nightly rate per person to the organization and provides a space for craftspeople to retail Maa Beadwork and produce. Guests can visit The Maa Trust to meet with local artisans and forge a deeper connection to the people in the area. Currently, 60 percent of the lodge’s team are locals, with plans to reach 70 percent, ensuring the hotel’s contribution to the socio-economic development of the region. As an ongoing initiative, JW Marriott Masai Mara’s Apprenticeship Program invites young women from the community to diversify their skills and broaden their experience to kick-start their careers in the hospitality industry. Partnership with the community began during the early development process of the lodge. Developed on land committed to a tourism project so as not to unduly disturb the surrounding environment, much of the construction was undertaken by local experts overseen by technical specialists, with build materials sourced from sustainable suppliers. The lodge has rehabilitated access roads to the property, installed power to the area, and provided access to clean drinking water for locals through a water treatment plant. Emphasis on waste reduction and recycling is integral to daily operations. The lodge’s water treatment plant provides recycled and sanitized water; food waste is placed at the lodge’s compost site; and water wells are dotted around the lodge for animals to quench their thirst throughout the day. By supporting local organizations such as The Mara Elephant Project and The Mara Protector Conservation Programme, JW Marriott Masai Mara Lodge contributes to protecting animals and their habitat across the greater Mara ecosystem. Bringing a passion for the surrounding wildlife and nature to guests, the lodge’s Head Guide is a lifelong conservationist who holds talks about local culture at the lodge as well as guided walking tours. With an abundance of meaningful moments to experience at the lodge, guests can delve into photography and learn new skills at the lodge’s very own studio. • Ronaldinho launches new watch collection in Geneva

Rebellion Timepieces’ brand new Re-Volt Ronaldinho, is imagined hand-in-hand with the Brazilian football star, and it reflects his personality perfectly: compromise-free! #Ronaldinho at the Watches and Wonders GENEVA, in Geneva, Switzerland, Tuesday, March 28, 2023. The Master Event of the #WatchesandWonders ecosystem brings together the leading names of the #Watchmaking and #luxury industry from March 27 to April 2, 2023 at Geneva Palexpo. (KEYSTONE/Valentin Flauraud) Ronaldinho, Rebellion’s new ambassador, extremely generous both on and off the pitches, was involved in creating a watch that reflects his personality, 100% rebel. This limited edition, reiterating the iconic Re-Volt’s architectural lines, stands out with its vibrant colors, representing the Brazilian flag, which boost the sporty character of this disruptive model. In a nutshell, its colored carbon-crafted case mixes dashes of high-tech material black with yellow and green that reigns supreme and symbolizes the Amazon forest. The solar shade that echoes the country’s fertile earth adorns the bridges and indexes, amongst other features. As for blue, it conjures up a perfect sky, totally free from clouds that could darken everyday life. Here, this allegorical hue sets off the minute tracker, the Velcro®-clasped textile-fashioned strap and the small seconds decorated with the iconic R10, a nod to the number the champion wore during his professional career. On the caseback, the #footballer’s signature highlights this timepiece’s one-of-a-kindness. And, just like the sensual rhythm of a samba, the beat of the hand-wound skeletonized movement breathes life accurately into the revolutions of the hour and minute hands. When #Ronaldinho meets #Rebellion, watchmaking becomes a celebration! The timepiece is available in a limited series of 25 pieces.
